Wesley & Lindsay – Whidbey Island Engagement – Seattle, USA

Engagements

This past September I was blessed enough to attend LOOM Curated for my second time. The first workshop was held out in Catskills, NY. This time we went West, out to the beautiful Seattle Coast. You guys know how much I love the ocean, and this was my first time seeing the North American West coast. I died a little. Right up my alley. The drift wood, pink sunsets and chill ambience were to die for.

What words could I write here to describe the energy and adventure that was this shoot? I don’t think any will really do it justice. This might be one of my favourite galleries of all time. These two love birds, that beautiful coast, driving around being spontaneous, and letting things unfold naturally. Oh LOOM, how I love everything about you.

Ginny Au is the genius behind this stunning photo session – I just ran around like a crazy person trying my best to capture it all from behind a 75mm lens in the back of a Jeep. It doesn’t get more authentic than this guys. Every moment was real. I didn’t pose, or instruct. These guys had a basic plan and I just got to capture their moments like a fly on the wall. There is nothing more real than that, and I always cry because of how real it is. Lump in my throat, trying to old back the ugly cry, kind of real.

The heart and soul that Ginny and her team put into LOOM each and every time leaves me speechless. Her continuing open-ness and willing to teach/pass on her outlook and ideas, is something I will always strive for if and when others come to my for guidance. I love how she loves to lift us all up and literally bear hugs each and every attendee.
