At the end of September I had the amazing chance to take a road trip about 10 hours south-west and spend some time in and around Louisville, Kentucky USA. Kentucky is an old state with tons of history, bourbon and thoroughbreds – right up my alley.
While visiting I attended the Belle Lumiére Workshop. When I travel my film camera (Penny) is always somewhere in tow. Capturing my adventures on film is probably my biggest passion, second to that is probably meeting other people who feel the same way, which is what I get to do when I attend workshops hosted all over the world. Belle Lumiére is a stunning film only publication that also does teaching for newbies that want to get into film photography. So if you’re a photographer reading this thinking “film is always something I’ve wanted to do but never had the knowledge of how to get started” Lexi Clifford over at BL is your girl.
Working with Whitney & Trevor at the Richwood Plantation was nothing short of breathtaking. The florals, the gowns and of course that late September sunset was just killer. I couldn’t have imagined finishing off my road trip and time in Kentucky any other way.
